Hand-tufted rugs are made by punching wool yarn through a stretched canvas with a tufting tool, then backing and shearing the pile. It is far faster than knotting, which is why a hand-tufted rug gives you a thick, plush wool surface and a custom-quality design at a fraction of a hand-knotted price.
They are a favorite of Chicagoland interior designers for bedrooms, family rooms and larger spaces where budget matters. Ours are 100% wool and wool-and-viscose in modern, transitional and floral designs, and we make custom hand-tufted rugs to any size and color.
