Collection: Oriental Rugs

"Oriental rug" is the traditional name for hand-knotted rugs from the historic weaving regions of the East — from Turkey through Persia, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Each tradition has its own motifs — the Oushak's large florals, the Heriz medallion, the Persian garden and hunting designs — and its own palette and knot. Cassim Rug Gallery is a direct manufacturer with four generations in this trade — many of the rugs on our floor were made on our own looms. Our oriental collection ranges from antique-style reproductions in vegetable dyes to finely knotted wool-and-silk pieces, in room sizes and runners. Every oriental rug we sell can be hand-washed, repaired and re-fringed in our Downers Grove facility, so it stays a family piece.
