Handmade Rugs for Oak Park Homes

Oak Park is about 25 minutes from our showroom at 239 Ogden Ave in Downers Grove — straight in on Ogden Avenue, the historic Route 66. A village famous for its Prairie-style and Victorian architecture deserves rugs chosen with the same care the homes were built with — handmade, from a family-owned direct manufacturer with four generations of rug making.

Rugs for Prairie-style and Victorian homes

Geometric hand-knotted designs sit naturally in Prairie-style interiors — clean lines, earthy palettes, honest materials. Victorians call for traditional Heriz, Serapi and Oushak patterns with softened, antique-washed color. All handmade in wool or wool-and-silk, and most designs can be re-colored or re-sized through our custom rug service to suit a specific room.

Restoration for homes full of history

Historic homes tend to hold historic rugs. We restore them the way they were made — reweaving worn areas, rebuilding fringe and edges, correcting moth and water damage — all by hand, in our own facility. See our repair and restoration service.

Hand-washed cleaning, with pickup from Oak Park

We pick up rugs from Oak Park on request, hand-wash them — never by machine — and return them in 10 to 14 days, furniture moved and rug re-laid.

We bring selections to Oak Park homes for a no-charge, no-obligation in-home trial — the only honest way to judge color in a home with real woodwork and leaded glass. Call (630) 324-6567. We also serve neighboring La Grange and Elmhurst.
